Policy statement by Hytek GB Ltd in respect of The Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006 (WEEE)
As a producer & supplier to the Business to Business market we are committed to the protection of the environment & recognise that the above regulation plays an important part in minimising the impact on the world we live in.
The regulation aims to recycle & make good use of the materials that make up old electrical & electronic equipment at the end of it’s useful life. Furthermore it aims to prevent the negative environmental impact of sending this type of equipment to landfill.
Hytek GB Ltd is registered as a producer with the UK Environment Agency through the approved compliance scheme operated by Transform, part of Biffa Waste Services Ltd. Our producer registration reference is WEE/AG0474RY.
The equipment that is subject to the WEEE regulation is marked with a crossed out wheelie bin logo denoting that is should not be disposed of as landfill waste.
Customers wishing to return WEEE should advise us at the time of placing orders for new equipment. A disposal charge will be applied. All price lists & quotations exclude end of life disposal charges. Sales orders are accepted on the basis that Customers accept full liability for the disposal of used WEEE equipment unless we are informed in writing at, or before, the point of placing orders. Failure to do so will mean the Customer is deemed to have accepted this responsibility. Hytek GB Ltd is happy to undertake collection & disposal of WEEE on a chargeable basis.
Where a Hytek product is supplied to a EU member state other than the UK, the local importer or distributor will have made registration according to local requirements.
